Statements in Debates
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. My questions are directed to Municipal and Community Affairs in regards to the issue that I raised in my Member’s statement: costs for our athletes to partake in territorial trials or basically trying to get a seat on the team to get to the Canada Games regardless if it is winter or summer. I think that realizing that using the Fort McPherson situation where they had to fundraise some $27,000 just to partake in the tryouts in regards to making the soccer team for the NWT to go to the Canada Summer Games. It clearly stipulated six areas of contention that they had in the devolution agreement. The Gwich’in claim is a comprehensive claim. The president, the board of directors...
Minister Miltenberger.
Agreed. Mr. Bromley.
