The Legislative Assembly hosts Winter Lights Across Canada every year in December. In partnership with the City of Yellowknife, residents gather at Somba K’e amphitheater and watch the illumination of lights throughout Somba K’e Civic Plaza and City Hall.
After the lights are on, we welcome people to stroll down to the Legislative Assembly and warm up with hot beverages and cookies, enjoy live music, and view Christmas trees decorated by kindergarteners from Yellowknife, Ndılǫ and Dettah.
