Will the work that is being undertaken be completed on time and not hold up the operation of the ferry services?

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, this afternoon I bring to your attention the Louis Cardinal and Abraham Francis ferries. The Louis Cardinal operates on the Mackenzie River, connecting Tsiigehtchic to the Dempster highway, and the Abraham Francis operates on the Peel River, closer to Fort McPherson.

Mr. Speaker, my home community of Tsiigehtchic is only accessible by winterized roads five months out of the year and by the ferry services another five months during the summer season.

That leads me to my next question, which he answered a part of, but when can my constituents expect to have services resumed for the summer? According to his math, that's May 31st.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I have a few questions for the Minister of Infrastructure. Can the Minister give us a brief update on the work that was done to both the Abraham Francis and Louis Cardinal ferries this year? Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

At the moment, we have about 10 elders in the community. Of that, two or three have a serious health issue. Would the Minister and his department be willing to, well, if two out of those three were identified as having serious issues and wanted to go to Inuvik, would the Minister house elders in Inuvik, whether it's long-term care or other means by that?

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, can you feel it? Mr. Speaker, I am very proud of the athletes who are excited to be travelling this weekend to participate in the Arctic Winter Games in Hay River and Fort Smith.

Mr. Speaker, athletes have worked countless hours preparing, training, and focusing on achieving in their sport to get to this level of competition. I wish to congratulate all athletes. Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I have a couple of questions for the Minister responsible for Health and Social Services. Mr. Speaker, during my constituency meeting, an elder brought up the need for sending elders to Inuvik during spring break-up and freeze-up, as we have a couple of elders in the community with serious health issues. I would like to ask the Minister: will the Minister and his department send elders with health issues to Inuvik for spring break-up and freeze-up? Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
