Statements in Debates
Mr. Speaker, I have already provided all Members of the assembly the five-year capital activity plan that we outlined and developed with the Department of Transportation. All Members have that in their briefing book that I provided earlier, but I can assure the Member that for 2005-06, if we do have additional funding, I will try to convince my colleagues to see if we can enhance that particular program.
Mr. Speaker, on that particular infrastructure funding the Member made statements on, it pertains to various municipal infrastructure, and I will take it under advisement and get back to the Member in terms of whether the dust component falls under this particular program.
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I would like to recognize the president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Yellowknife branch, Mr. Lloyd Lush.

Mahsi, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, (Translation) I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the seven Pages who served this House in the last three days. These students are constituents of mine from Chief Jimmy Bruneau Regional High School in Edzo and were selected by Principal Rita Mueller with their hard work and dedication shown in their studies. Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank these following students: Kevin Crookedhand, Cassandra Camsell, Tia Marissa Gon, Rambo MacKenzie, Mandy Mantla, John Paul Rabesca and Ernest Smith for a job well done.
Mr. Speaker, I have a return to written question asked by Mr. Braden on March 24, 2004, regarding reclamation of Miramar Con Mine. Mr. Braden asked if there is a specified reclamation standard in the Con Mine leases that the leaseholder must achieve. The leases require Miramar Con Mine to prepare a restoration plan dealing with, among other things, the removal of buildings and structures on the property, roads, and the land in general. The plan is to be prepared with the objective of restoring the land to an environmentally-safe and reusable condition, to the satisfaction of the deputy...
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Yes.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I move seconded by the honourable Member for Thebacha, that Bill 5, Tlicho Community Government Act, be read for the second time.
Mr. Speaker, this bill gives effect to chapter 8 of the Tlicho agreement relating to Tlicho community governments. It establishes the community governments of Behchoko, Wha Ti, Gameti and Wekweti and describes their boundaries. The provisions for community governance are modeled upon those set out in the proposed statutes included as schedules to Bill 25, the Municipal Statutes Replacement Act, through variances due to results from the Tlicho...
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, if the honourable Member wants me to give him a definition, it’s someone like the honourable Member when he was an athlete in Inuvik in skiing. Someone in that calibre. Thank you.

Mr. Speaker, I’m not quite clear as to the question that the honourable Member is raising. An NWT-wide Olympic games? I haven’t heard of anything of that sort before. Thank you.
