Today, I would like to acknowledge the accomplishment of one of our very own constituents of mine who I'm very proud of.

In November of this year, Doreen Ann Arrowmaker from Gameti graduated from Royal Roads University with a master's degree in Global Management. She was awarded the Founder's Award from the university for exemplifying the qualities of leadership, sustainability, and personal development for her graduating class.

Mr. Speaker, I am very proud of Ms. Arrowmaker for not only this accomplishment, but also how she achieved it...

Masi, Mr. Speaker. [Translation] We now have a new government in place. We are very thankful for that. We all have a huge job to do. The Cabinet, as well, has a huge job. The only way to go forward is to support each other. We all want to work well together.

We have the Tlicho leadership here in the gallery to support me, and I thank them. I also thank the Tlicho Nation. They advised me and sent me messages. I am thankful for that. I know that they are standing behind me in support.

WHEREAS Subsection 61(1) of the Legislative Assembly and Executive Council Act requires that there shall be an Executive Council of the Northwest Territories;

AND WHEREAS the Executive Council shall be comprised of a Premier chosen by this Legislative Assembly and persons appointed by the Commissioner on the recommendation of this Legislative Assembly;

NOW THEREFORE I MOVE, seconded by the honourable Member for Hay River North, that the Member for Range Lake, the Honourable Caroline Cochrane, is hereby chosen to be Premier of the Northwest Territories. Masi, Mr. Speaker.

Masi Colleagues. Welcome back. I would like to welcome and thank the Pages we will have with us throughout this sitting. These Pages, many of them returning to the Assembly, are giving up the final days of summer to support Members as we finish the important work of this 18th Assembly.
