Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to report to this House, and residents of the NWT, on the progress we are making to transform the child and family services system to better serve children, youth, families, and communities. We want to create a system that provides services that are culturally safe and antiracist.

Initiatives under the 20192021 Quality Improvement Plan are helping us reach that goal. I want to share a few details from the annual report of the director of child and family services, which I will table later today. Prevention services now account for 50 percent of...

Thank you, Madam Chair. Madam Chair, I don't agree with this. We have offices in this building. This building is open to the public during regular office hours and failing that, we can go to a common space in the community such as a coffee shop. I feel that this $90,000, or a total cost $160,000, could be better spent than on yet another office for government services. Thank you.

Colleagues, I'm pleased to recognize the oral health professionals from the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority and the Department of Health and Social Services. They're in Yellowknife for an oral health conference to increase their knowledge in health promotion and preventative services.
