Motion 73-19(2): Extended Adjournment of the House to February 27, 2023

Mr. Speaker, I give notice that on Thursday, February the 16th, 2023, I will move the following motion:

I move, second by the honourable Member for Hay River North, that when this House adjourns on Thursday, February 16th, 2023, it shall be adjourned until Monday, February 27th, 2023;

And furthermore, that at any time prior to February 27th, 2023, if the Speaker is satisfied, after consultation with the Executive Council and Members of the Legislative Assembly, that the public interest requires that the House should meet at an earlier time during the adjournment, or at a time later than the scheduled resumption of the House, the Speaker may give notice and thereupon the House shall meet at that time stated in such notice and shall transact its business as if it had been duly adjourned to that time.
