What is Youth Parliament?
Youth Parliament is an exciting opportunity for Grade 9 and 10 students from across the Northwest Territories to experience life as an MLA. Held each spring at the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly in Yellowknife, this program provides students with hands-on learning about Consensus Government and the Legislative Assembly.
During the week, participants will:
- Research community concerns.
- Meet with their MLA to discuss issues affecting their riding.
- Write and deliver a Member's Statement.
- Learn how a Bill becomes law.
- Participate in a mock session and Question Period.
- Build new friendships and have lots of fun!

Travel dates: April 28 (arrival) and May 2 (departure).
