Today, I would like to acknowledge the work of the Northern Youth Abroad and congratulate the organization as it released the names of selected 2016 participants, including 29 participants representing 19 communities from across the NWT. Northern Youth Abroad began in 1998 and served youth living in Nunavut until expanding also to serve youth across NWT in 2005. In fact, it was through the hard work and determination of those involved in education in NWT that Northern Youth Abroad was able to expand to serve our young people, and has continued to do so for the past 11 years. I guess I'm going to have to reword my question. When I talk to the Minister about apprenticeship and the process, it is about the grades and how they develop the application for these students or young people to apply for jobs. Does the Minister know if his department works consistently with the Government of the Northwest Territories' other departments, and how they implement apprenticeship programs.

As we all know the importance of developing young people in the work force, can the Minister please explain how the Power Corporation implements their apprenticeship program across the NWT? Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Actually, I think the department should maybe get together and look at how they actually implement their apprenticeship programs, but I will go on to my next question. I thank the Minister for his answer. However, I'd like to really get into depth with these students who have learning disabilities, and how the college actually implements their plans. Does the college actually look at down south and how they're implementing these plans? Because I know if we go to Grande Prairie, they actually have a process where they guarantee success of their students.

As the Minister may know, students with disabilities have plans set in place while they are in school for their success. As well, it helps them prepare when they get on to post-secondary school.
