(YELLOWKNIFE) Tuesday, October 15, 2024 – The Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly is excited to unveil Speaker’s Sneakers, a new initiative that brings educational outreach and engagement to communities across the North—and beyond.
Inspired by the Speaker’s approachable style and well-known sneaker collection, Speaker’s Sneakers is designed to offer a fresh, engaging perspective on the Speaker’s duties, both within and outside of the NWT. The platform allows residents to follow the Speaker’s journeys as he champions initiatives such as Youth Parliament and the Mace Tour, creating unique opportunities to connect with people of all ages.
Key features include:
- Interactive Map: Follow the Speaker’s travels and learn about his outreach to different communities.
- Behind the Scenes: Gain personal insights from the Speaker about his visits, the places he’s been, and his mission to bring the Assembly’s work closer to the people.
